Once in a while I think all artists create a piece that they are extremely proud of and they view as a milestone. This is one of those for me. I call them ‘Level up Pieces’. I put to use a lot of skills and techniques on this and I am very happy with the result. I chose this model because it is a commemorative piece that I really wanted to get right. This focused me to the task like commissions do but I had no time constraints. I was actually so focused I forgot to take many progress photos! I also upped the challenge for myself by not using metallic paints at all. Non Metallic Metals (NMM) is a new skill to me but I think I put it to good use. Approximately 20Hrs to build and paint.
