This was a marathon piece for me. It took a lot of time, effort, rework and patience that I had to leave it alone occasionally and go back later. I honestly can not remember how many times I returned to this to change this and that, add things, delete things and completely repaint parts I wasn’t happy with. It was very intentionally far removed from the box art. The base was really another project in itself. I used a lot of parts that I found in my garden or on walks including the snail shell (which was empty when I found it!).
