Wow these minis seemed especially small! Each Marine mini here was treated as a separate job, so no production line/speed painting. The aliens on the other hand…. when I finally settled on finished paintjob it was rinse and repeat. It was a little surprising to me how difficult it was to pull out enough detail, depth and shine. They are after all, black and more often than not cast in shadows! I washed over them in the end with different colour washes to give a little variation but this doesn’t show in the pics very well.
